Fastprk2: one of the most compelling outdoor smart parking management solutions
Fastprk consists of a flush or surface mounted magneto-resistive sensor powered by batteries, which communicates occupancy data through a low-consumption wireless network. Information is streamed in real-time and feeds multiple dashboards, which provide operators with a comprehensive view of the network.
The objective of FastPRK-2 is to produce the next generation of FastPrk
FastPRK-2 project is co-funded by the European Commision’s EASME agency under the Horizon 2020 programme (agreement no.726607). Specifically, FastPRK-2 falls within the SME-Instrument programme with the topic: “Small business innovation research for Transport and Smart Cities Mobility”. This programme is very competitive (4,835 project proposals presented since 2014) and Worldsensing was rewarded for its quality and professionalism with an overall score of almost 99%.
The overall goal of FastPRK-2 is to improve the current commercial version of FastPrk product by implementing an innovative end-to-end on-street parking management system. FastPRK-2 aims to introduce a next generation detection system enriched with advanced services for cities and citizens on an improved mobility platform.
FastPRK-2 is more than simple innovation
Through the implementation of the FastPRK-2 platform, Worldsensing will be able to provide innovative solutions to its clients. The most notable innovations are: specialized software for Big Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, a new infrastructure to create a more comprehensive Quality of Experience model and providing a solid basis for future improvements, such as Artificial Intelligence algorithms for automatic recommendation and predictive applications.
