First prototype of the next-generation parking detection system successfully implemented
Fastprk2, an innovation project by IoT pioneer Worldsensing, has reached a significant milestone. The engineering and innovation teams at Worldsensing have successfully developed a first functional prototype of the advanced Smart Parking detection system, within the first year of the project. Furthermore, the company was able to meet all requirements set at the beginning of the project.
Functional tests have confirmed that Fastprk2 will increase the competitiveness of Fastprk, the current Smart Parking product, by reducing costs, minimizing energy consumption and adding new technical features in line with market requirements. In the coming months, Worldsensing will launch on-street pilot implementations across Europe to raise awareness among stakeholders and citizens.
With the aim to develop a next-generation parking detection system, Fastprk2 is based on the company’s current proprietary Parking Management System, Fastprk, and uses the product’s sensors, networks, and services to test and develop future technologies for on-street Smart Parking.
